FEES & PAYMENT
My fee is $175 for an intake session, and $140 per 55-minute session following. Sliding scale and financial assistance options are available for clients who are paying out of pocket and unable to afford the full fee. This will be discussed prior to our first meeting.
Payment is due at time of service and can be made via cash, check, or card. You will be asked to provide a credit or debit card number for me to keep on file, which will be kept secure in an encrypted online management system. This card can be used for session fees or copays, and will be used for late cancellations, no-shows, and unpaid balances.
INSURANCE
I accept most Blue Cross Blue Shield and Aetna plans, including the North Carolina State Health Plan.
Please check your benefits prior to our first meeting to determine your plan's coverage for "mental health office visits," (sometimes referred to as "psychotherapy") including any copay required at the time of visit, deductible requirements, and/or visit limits. Every plan is different, so the amount you owe per session will be determined by your specific plan.
I am an out-of-network provider for all other insurance companies. If your plan has out-of-network benefits, our office can courtesy-file claims for you. You will need to contact your insurance company prior to our first session to verify your out-of-network benefits, including reimbursement rates for your specific plan.
